I got an email from amazon saying that they have closed my account due to misuse of Amazon’s services as mentioned in their Conditions of Use. I went through their policy and nowhere it is mentioned that they will close account in case of more refunds. Did someone else go through this? What should I do to get my account back?
What was your frequency of returns?
what was your order to return ratio? # of items ordered vs returned ? overall
I cannot see the list now since I am locked out of my account. But I have been a customer since 2019, so definitely I ordered a lot of things.
Happened to me a few years back. I was on a shopping spree, made insane amount of returns, etc. Got an email if I don't stop this they'll essentially blacklist me without a possibility to get back. I thought I'm screwed, called support. Support told me it's automatic and I need to chill and stop doing returns for a while and back to being a decent customer. So I did and still keep using Amazon. There have a few thresholds of multiple ratios of refunds/returns to value bought and if you cross a certain amount, you'll be notified, next threshold is you are out.
Sorry to hear that. This is well known actually. Their return policy is generous but shouldn’t be used too much.
So much for customer obsession.
4/5 returns wouldn't be nearly enough
From what I observed, expensive goods carry more weight. 4-5 cheap refunds are fine but could be problematic if they are like >$100 each
I’ve had a friend locked out of Nordstrom for the same reason. Customer service is good but they want returns for genuine reasons only - as in damaged or doesn’t work as per description
Do you return at lot at other stores as well? There are 3rd parties scanning for this behavior and the stores use this information to proactively ban people.
Lol this person is full of shit. I return a LOT of stuff for a decade and no issues. This person is clearly abusing the system and Amazon figured it out. RIP, Walmart is up and coming, suggest you take your business there.
Wut? TCT 650k, I'm good bro. P. S. Have buddies in the CReturns team. You're clearly abusing the system. ✌️

Fuck scamazon.
I don’t understand this attitude. If there is one thing that Amazon holds sacred, it’s about going great lengths to keep the customer happy. I bet these kind of closures happen after enough reviews for patterns of return abuse. Why do you think OP is in the clear and this is a scam ?
