Is consumer payment team profitable business at Amazon? I have an offer and wondering if that is the target in next round of layoffs ? @amazon

Not profitable, but payments orgs are the least likely to get the axe
why?
Lots of teams under consumer payments have a ton of money coming in from partners , but the day that money stops the whole org will be out. They have teams with payments products ready since two years and not a single customer. If you think partner will keep paying for bloated teams with no customers (not even internal) go ahead and join. If this team is one of the few who do real payments processing, you should be fine.
