Amazon earnings: L5 Seattle AWS offer looks juicy @ ~$110 stock price
Amazon stock up to $138 and potentially on its way to $175 or maybe more more in next 2-3 years easily? My original L5 AWS offer (Seattle) with ~350 average TC for 4 years is already up to ~370k TC. It has room to grow to ~400k if stock goes up to $175, and $420k if it touches 200. Plus the cash heavy first couple years gives a lot of room to invest and grow. So, average TC can be ~500k assuming $150k is re-invested every year with ~15% return compounded over next 4 years. Context: I was in a bunch of other interview loops but hiring freeze didn’t work out well. Was scared to sign the AWS offer after hearing all the horror stories. But f**k , L5 can’t not be worth a half million projected TC yeah? Next, I plan to focus my energy on L6 promo over the next 18-24 months and then work towards an exit plan by end of 3rd year (before TC cliff), unless I fall in love with Amazon wlb and culture (which seems less likely). This is a total ad funded by the big brains at AWS. The clues are all there. Refusal to say the word fuck in case it alienates people to burn out - check. Massive speculation about returns to fool people with shittier FAANG TC - check. A fake and idiotic next step plan people with experience would laugh at to fool people with similar TC - check. A happy half-assed conclusion to their dream scenario that doesn't even make sense. An "exit plan" that love for AWS will ruin, really? - check. Who are you and who pays for this? I could probably automate it for less than your department cost.

Lmao I am just a regular blinder, but compliment accepted. @RH I didn’t mention exiting before it vests, I said start planning my exit at end of 3rd year (so that I can be out by ~ end of 4th if needed). Also, if I decide to leave a vest, it’s hopefully going to be another value move ;) Btw, don’t be sour RH, your promised TC might be back. Not for you @Amazon though, it’s cliffed and not coming back - just focus on your exit plan. Oh wait, only Amazon is hiring now.

That’s a 3-4 years outlook, possible imo. I am a relatively sane long term value investor. But yeah ofc nothing is guaranteed, hence the poll.
