Employment at Will If you accept our offer of employment, you will be an employee-at-will, meaning that either you or the Company may terminate our relationship at any time for any reason, with or without cause. Any statements to the contrary that may have been made to you, or that may be made to you, by the Company, its agents, or representatives are superseded by this offer letter. Is it normal for Amazon or any US employer?
Thanks; so my current employment policy it has been covered with couple of months of payment/ that clause surprised me.
Its like leap of faith.
Employment in the US is generally at-will for both parties unless there are specific bonds/conditions listed in the employment contract/offer letter.
US all at-will
Good to know that Thanks. How do people manage the safety net?
safety net? in the United States? there is no safety net
Is there anything like Employment insurance?
It works both though too which means you can leave the job at any time (potentially without giving notice although notice is always good if you don't want to burn a bridge)
I have the 18 month non-solicitation clause!!! Is it standard? What are the companies it is applicable for? Current role with org does not have such clause.
Normal for most companies
