I was on focus for 6 months and eventually moved to pip. I accepted severance last week. I will be starting as a Sr SDE at Walmart in a week. I was asked by the recruiter for relieving letter. Initially thought it was employment verification letter and I passed on the same with recent 3 pay slips. Then they came back and asked for service or relieving letter. I have not informed walmart about being in pip and focus. I have read that amazon mentions something along the lines of “Involuntary Termination” which mostly means either laid off or fired for policy violation or performance reasons. Can someone who has gone through this process please tell me if “Involuntary Termination” is mentioned in the letter ? Is there anyway to request them to stick to start/end dates, salary information and role/title. Amazon L5, 48L, 4 years (first job) Walmart Sr SDE ~60L (45 + rest in stocks and bonus) Total YoE 4 years
Don't worry, nothing of that sort is mentioned in the relieving letter.
Know anyone ?
Yes, I faced something similar.
Send the Amazon HR a mail about the relieving letter. I think you receive a month after your last day but I may be wrong.
@pepe748 Any update please?
What is a relieving letter?
This is specific to India I guess. Basically confirms that you were employed by a certain employer. Not sure how that is different from employment verification though.
Sounds like the same. You gave it to Walmart that letter, right?
