I thought this was the case for most employers already.
When will Microsoft officially announce this??
Didn't they say employees can WFH indefinitely?
Are you not bored enough already? Permanent WFH sucks..
You got to know this now?
Wayfair did this a few weeks ago.
So what, mate? It's not a competition.
Why so defensive Amazon? Lol
Akamai announced this in August.. rev up those home offices folks!
Good bye businesses in Seattle downtown!
Hello a sustainable community not depend on the whims of big tech, filled with residents who live there because they want to and not because they have to
Not to mention all the natives (aside from the business owners) who absolutely hate our guts.
Good. Make sense.
Unbelievable news. I can’t see many other companies doing the same. Amazon leading the way again.
The article literally says that this policy has already been implemented by other companies, so Amazon is hardly a trailblazer here
Sarcasm dude.
Just got out an all hands where our VP said he’s never going back full time when “normal” returns and expects his teams to maybe come in 2 days a week but leaving that up to mgrs. I don’t think there will be a blanket Amazon policy on this.
And yet my team is disappointed with the news and wants to try forcing a 1 day a week in the office until june
These two responses are further proof of why it needs to be an org by org decision. I just wish my org would lean some direction. Lol
Is there a chance of Amazon going full WFH or at least hybrid eventually?
Some teams are already working through this option for new hires
Yes I’m joining as “virtual” with my state listed as my location so hoping this can be long term.
