Amazon hiring levels & comp

I am starting to interview at Amazon in a week. I want to know what level/title and compensation I should be targeting. YOE - 6 yrs Education - Master's Computer Science Location - New HQ2 (Arlington Virginia) Current - IC4 Oracle (recently promoted)

They won't give sde1 at this yoe and sde3 at this experience is possible if you have done some awesome things in past. Location?

TC range will be 180-250k. Ask for 250k

You should aim for SDE-3 coming from IC4. I wouldnt recommend moving otherwise. A lot of people internally are getting to SDE3 in 4 1/2-6 years.

The bar is higher for outside hires. Average yoe has been 10+ from my experience for external hires

Not to derail the conversation, is it wise to consider an offer for 200k bay area SDE1 with 3 yoe?

Yes, it's good enough but try for sde2. Levels are company specific so can't comment
