About 8/10 ads on IG is Amazon retail related for me. Also I am beginning to see a lot of Amazon ads on YouTube, Blind (even), and other channels. Is anyone experiencing increase in advertising from Amazon? It's really strange situation for me. Prior to q2 I never seen any ads from Amazon. I guess they (and rest of tech) is struggling hard.
I’m seeing a ton of AWS ads in blind. Which feels like just burning money TBH.
That thought crossed my mind, too.
Unless of course they have some way of tracking activity associated with the ads, tying that to your device id, correlating that with your activities on other sites, and thus deanonymizing blind. Can they? Who knows. Would they? Absofuckinglutely.
I noticed the IG ads just recently - and have never seen them before
It depends on many factors. Companies always need advertising. AWS has been doing it with nfl, which increases its brand awareness. Also AWS biggest industry event is coming up soon, and advertising hyped up just before that We are heading into the holiday season. Starting with thanksgiving , you will see the ad volumes go up many times for obvious reasons. People are trying to link everything to recession ,so they are now “observing “ these things. But I can’t remember the last time , prime wasn’t shoved in my face. The whole point of Amazon is getting stuff cheaper Also, YouTube and some other sites try to personalize ads. Based on your browsing history they might show you ads.
For me I see less Amazon ads than before. Like I get 0 now …

Should C-suite take paycut to save company? Peloton layoff 400 and ceo pocketed $168M TC.
How does more ads mean they are struggling?
Before they rarely seem to need to use ads because they were busy filling orders and innovating. Now they seem to be worried about loss in revenue... As with many other companies. Also noticing a lot more "discounts" and "special offers" from Doordash specifically. It's as though many companies are trying to pump their numbers. I am honestly seeing alot of Meta VR ads too.
Amazon does this all the time before Prime and Black Friday and other holidays. I doubt they’re “struggling”.
