Hello fellow blinders, I have an interview with Amazon, and I am currently not prepared for the interview (currently out of touch for coding interviewed in general). But however I am choosing to take the interview, because from my past experiences I find that I keep on planning on preparing but keep procrastinating and I know that the only way I will start preparing is when I start taking interviews (and screw up some of them). Question: Will Amazon ask me to wait for certain time before interviewing aging if I do very badly in this one? If so, how long. yoe 4.5 Also, it would be great if someone share the insights into Amazon TC for L5/L6 with 4.5 yoe Thanks in advance. ps: I asked the recruiter the same question and the recruiter told me that there is no policy as such, I can interview whenever I want, somehow I didn’t feel like believing that, hence this question.
I screwed up behavioural round at amazon. I was told I can try again after 6 months
It's a 1 year recycle as a standard though it can be faster as nothing stop another recruiter from bringing you in. L5 is 180-250k I think L6 is 280-350k Both can go higher with approval from vp (much more likely for L6) With 4.5 yoe, you will almost certainly get an L5 offer.
Beware if you screw up profoundly, the timeout might be 2+ years or black list in extreme cases
agree with awssdm, if you are slightly off, timeout is 6 months, otherwise 2 years, extreme cases (all declined with LP concerns) blacklisted forever.
This isn't true. No such thing as a permanent blacklist at Amazon (well there is but not for this reason). In order to get all declined, you would still have to pass phone screen so someone liked you. Also 2 years is not required. They recycle after 1 year.
What is “LP”?
12 months is the norm for most companies including Amazon.
