I want to contribute to MBD. But my concern is 1. I don’t want to fill up the 401K bucket of $22500. As amazon only contribute 2% for my 4%. 2. Can I contribute rest of remaining amount to fill up 2023 $66,000 limit as after tax? 3. Can I choose to invest my after tax contributions in a ETF of my choice as part of MBD? Or I have to stick with the funds listed in my fidelity 401k account? TC - 190
Op, you're doing it wrong.
Can you correct me please?
Fidelity accounts have Brokerage Link for investing in more stuff, look it up and call them if u have questions on setup
But BrokerageLink won’t have tax free growth right? What I am looking for is tax free growth with MBDR.
There's brokeragelink roth available
3. Yes you can invest in any ETF or individual stock.
I’d mega back door, but I already have access to multiple 401k, 403b, and 457b…. That’s a lot of tax-deferred potential
You should start from the beginning. Some of your assumptions seem wrong
IRS joined the chat
Even for IRS, TC OR GTFO 🤣
Thanks to everyone here for helping me out. Now I got my basics done. 1. Completed the setup to fill up 401k 22500 bucket via brokeragelink to invest in securities of my choice. 2. Will now start doing after tax via the roth 401k brokeragelink. 3. Even will fill up Roth IRA Planning to fill up the 66000 bucket.

I don’t get your logic. You don’t wanna invest 19k without paying taxes on it in an ETF of your choice?
You shouldn’t incest ever.
Lolol!
