I worked at Amazon till 2013 and my manager gave bad reviews. I left though I dint get pip’ed. Is there is any policy that resets no hire ex employee? Reason I ask is whichever company I apply amazon seem to acquire them, zoom, twitch etc. Don’t want to settle for a low pay and lack of options in the future.
By bad review, did your manager mark you as not re-hireable? I don't think it is possible without dev list. If it is, then as of now there is no exceptions. Amazon will not hire you.
How do I check if I’m on non rehireable list? Whom do I ask?
Try with recruiter. They control which resumes reach the hiring manager. They must be screening the candidates to save HM's time.
I am sure there many high paying companies that amazon won't be able to acquire. You won't run out of options op. To answer your question, yes there is a no rehire flag that a manger can set.
The problem is say I join a company and that gets acquired by amazon, I will get screwed 🙁 Won’t I?
No you won't.
