Seattle or SF/NYC? Assuming Seattle it is nearly top of band but you can ask for out of band woth your YOE. Did you have great interview feedbaxk? Do you have competing offers? Do ask for more if your answer is yes

This is the wrong advice. Get the offer via a call and tell them you need to think about it. Counter via email and negotiate via email. Only jump on another call if they are willing to make a super high offer that is only valid on the call.
