Amazon stock grew 5X in the last 5 years. Do you think a similar growth is still possible? Where do you see Amazon stock in 3 years?
Q1 guidance is 10-18%. 2019 will be the slowest growth in it's history. More likely market cap will contract. Better chance seeing 1000 than 2000
Why would market cap contract? I know the growth from AWS won't be the same, but there's still shit ton of companies who are still on prem and moving to cloud. Grocery delivery is super big. The whole foods acquisition would help better integrate their offerings. I can see a 20% growth instead of 100%
Historically, Amazon's high pe or market cap was predicated on high growth. That growth is now slowing due to law of large numbers and resurgence of Walmart, Target, etc. Amazon will not see 20% growth this year. Best scenario is 16-18%.
You would need to be very dumb to understand that similar growth won’t happen. Those who missed the boat should let it go. As mentioned above 10-20% growth is the new reality.
Amazon will grow 309% every month
Odds are high it declines.
What if I think it declines? Where are the options?
Amazon is slowly losing their edge in online sales and AWS. While neither business will collapse, the P/E in the 80s requires crazy growth to justify and that’s going away. My guess is Amazon plateaus at 1500ish for a few years. It will be interesting to see how they plan on retaining talent. I know they’re raising the target comps to be more in-line with Google this year which means they’re expecting this. Previously they could pay less and point to stock growth.
^the most rational post from an Amazonian. Law of large numbers and slower growth will impact the stock for years to come.
1.15^3=1.52, so 50%
This didn’t age well, 😂.
No. Amazon won't grow from a 800b dollar company to a 4T company in 3 years
Lol this. Pretty simple math...jeez
Double is plausible IMO. 4 years is a long time. If AMZN nails somthing down (like whole foods) I think they could hit 1.5T in 4 years. Not saying it would be sustainable. Just that they could hit it
