Amazon teams in SF Bay
Interviewed for sde3. It was a solid interview. But was offered sde2. HR said prior companies are not that great. looking for teams with good WLB, preferably in SF. But Palo Alto/Sunnyvale works fine. appreciate any sugestions.π 10+ yoe TC(current company): 230K
Don't join any Alexa team, a lot of toxic managers. AWS teams have very high operations overhead. Search and Music have weak leadership (hard to get promoted), but good WLB.

Heard lot of bad things about music in sf. You may end up working for different time zones and may be 12-14 hrs
Used to work in search. Pretty chill if youβre SDE, great WLB outside of yearly push before prime day, and some teams do pretty cool stuff.
How do you guys measure what's toxic?
Constant reorg. Bad management of directions, turf wars, no promo
