Hey Guys, I have an offer from EY for Manager (Level 2) position. Is this a good move ? Location: Seattle EY Manager (Level 2) TC: 185K Base:170K Sign on bonus: 15K Potential yearly performance bonus: 7-10% Amazon Program Manager II TC 165K (considering stocks) Base:95K Projected stocks 2022:17 Few people may think that going from Amazon to EY may be a opposite direction. But I am so frustrated with Amazon with a low TC and Lack of path to Promotion. The manager keeps making false promo promises. Also, considering the amazon stock price being stagnant at 3.3K since 1 year, I don’t know if I can bet any more on amazon stock. #EY#Amazon#programmanager”Manager#Payments#finance#financeservicesorganization#finance #consulting
All I can say is beware of the big 4
Can you explain what do you mean by this?
Their accountants at the end of the day. More aggressive and overly ambitious projects. Less resources. Oh and their version of digital transformation is basically outsourcing. 60 hour weeks are considered slow weeks.
Is this non-tech?
YOE?
My guess is around 4-5 but I could be wrong
Good if you enjoy consulting. I was at Deloitte and Amazon. Amazon was better.
TC increase is nice but doesn’t seem life changing. You probably won’t be happy at EY either. And manager level at a public acct firm is probably the worst position honestly. You still do some actual work with the management duties as well. Look somewhere else. And the raises annually at public firms will be at inflation if best.
Raise at EY is usually 10-25% depending on rating
Agreed. You're looking at a min 6% yoy increase for raises. That's pretty damn good. Although, this seems like a step back career wise honestly. Hood out for a better exit
Don’t go to EY. Find something else
Is this EY (manager role) in their consulting arm?
You would get 0 stock at EY lol
Lmao is this a joke? Don’t go to EY. Big 4 is horrendous.
Right of passage but yeah, terrible
Didn't you ask this before?
No, I was asking details on the EY total comp expectations, given now I got the final EY offer and number, I am Trying to make a call to accept or not
