Thanks, he's In an NIT
Go for oracle, the pay difference is too huge to ignore considering Amazon's rsu vesting schedule as well. Try finding the oracle team and do some research maybe? I had the same oracle offer and rejected it but the other job had higher pay than Amazon, a great team and my oracle team had bad reviews.
Oracle will have better wlb and has much better pay. As new grad, doesn't matter too much where you join, if you don't like it, you can easily switch after 1-2 yrs.
Join AWS. No one wants to hire an Oracle experienced one.
In market, AWS carries more weight than oracle. Your brother is a fresh graduate. Right now focus should be on building good base AWs IAM services definitely seem more promising than ST.
Is server technology group part of OCI? If not then I would say go for Amazon
OCI is a part of server tech
I was in a similar situation last year and I chose oracle. You can also refer to comments in this post : [Blind] Check out this post! Amazon or Oracle (Software Engineering Career) https://us.teamblind.com/s/JVMvgyNb
First ask yourself what are your priorities: If you want challenging work and don't mind pay or wlb much then go for amazon....but if you want to have chill work with high pay choose oracle Note : you won't be getting any stocks in the first two years of Amazon as 1 unit stock value is high. The diff in pay per year is almost 14lpa....which is too high....and my suggestion would be to go for Oracle
Also, please remember that the challenging work at Amazon everyone's talking about is not guaranteed. You could also be stuck with mundane work for long hours at Amazon. My friends from tier 1 colleges (with your pay range) are mostly (like 7/10) happy with their work and teams at oracle too. The pay gap is too huge, please don't forgo it for some ideal that Amazon work will be much better, it's all really a roll of the dice.
