Am I racist if I don’t want to marry a Southeast Asian?
Posting on behalf of a friend: I received the following offers Amazon SDE1 for east coast: Total Compensation: Recruiter mentioned 150K - 200K + Stocks[Have not received the numbers yet] pros: More opportunities to change Team internally. Brand Name. cons: Based on what is on blind, stressful environment and pip culture. Wayfair: Total compensation: ~200K pros: I am being offered Level 2. Also, I liked the Manager and the works seems interesting with good Tech Stack. cons: Might not be stable based on last layoff during covid I do not have much information on the Team with Amazon yet. And reading about all these experiences on Blind is making me reluctant with Amazon. However Wayfair itself does not seem to have very good reviews on Blind too. But the Wayfair Team that I have interviewed for is a core team and I have read good things about that org in general. And I have liked the team in general. Current TC: peanuts in a company YOE: 3 years #wayfair#Amazon Edit: Thanks for the comments. Based on the comments, I do not have any other options. I would like to hear from you guys what to choose if I have just these two. Also, this is going to be my first Dev job. Past work ex is not as a dev. Also, added polls.
keep interviewing, both are bad options.
Yep, it’s not a binary either/or choice (“false dilemma fallacy ”). Find something else, there’s more than 2 companies in Boston
Wayfair L2 TC breakdown please
If it's any retail team at Amazon, run for the hills
Don’t trust blind, those companies are big enough that what really matters is the team you’ll be on. If money is the same pick, the team with the best tech stack and manager you like the most
