I am currently working at Amazon as L4 Frontend engineer in India. Total experience: 3 years. Current salary is: 20LPA Am i being underpaid? How much hike can I expect if I move to Google as frontend engineer, or any other high paying companies in India? I am targeting 40 LPA(including stocks), which is like 100% hike. Is it possible, or am I being too ambitious? #googleamazon #googleindia #salarycomparison #salarynegotiation #google #googlecompensation
I got the same . Go for it
Can you please clarify a bit in details in terms of your YOE, salary hike, position you joined as, and total compensation you got at Google.

There are high chances (99%) that Google gives you L3 - since it’s equivalent to Amazon L4 and you’re still an L4 at Amazon. For L3, 40 lpa is a bit of a moonshot. You can argue for: 1. up to 18-20 lacs in base 2. 30-40 lacs of stocks over 4 years 3. 3-5 lacs joining bonus 4. target performance bonus of 15% of base (3 lacs) That brings your net per year to about 30-35 lacs and this is the best case scenario.
This insight helps a lot.Thank you.
I am supposed to be promoted here at Amazon in this quarter. So, lets say I get L4 role at google. Then how much is a reasonable amount to expect from Google?

Off topic but I'm seeing that 20 lakh is about 28k USD. Is that a comfortable salary in India?
Actually the salary varies between countries since cost of living is much lower in India.
