Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
PIPazon's security vendor was fined $1.1M for malpractice i.e. improperly deducting work hours for meal break time when employees were indeed working. What is it with Amazon who always push its vendors/employees into extreme situations? Delivery drivers peeing in bottles, employees considering taking performance enhancing drugs to meet expectations and now vendors illegally deducting wages. Is this all part of striving to be Earth's best employer? https://www.seattletimes.com/business/security-contractor-for-amazon-fined-1-1m-for-shorting-seattle-workers/
Amazon hires contractors so they can take the fall and blame
People want the best stuff , delivered asap , at cheapest rates. Shareholders want ever increasing revenue and growth. Where will the profit margin come from? From squeezing the most vulnerable in workforce.
Imo, the approach is not sustainable in long term. I am surprised why people still join Amazon even after seeing their f**king illegal, inhuman business practices. May be new grads are masochist and morally blind.
Earth’s best employer 🤣
