Take it, given you don't have much choice and not liking the current work.
Mental health is more important, take the offer. Amex does provide peace of mind
You can ask for a joining bonus and amex yearly bonus in most cases would be higher than what they mention in the offer letter. What they mention in the offer letter is the minimum yearly bonus possible at satisfactory performance. In most cases it can be 1.5 times and in best case scenario it can go up to 2.5 times
Also, another thing I wanted to ask about, the percentage increase in salary & duration from Manager to Sr.Manager promotion. I have read on multiple portals as the band for both Manager and Sr.Manager remains the same, hence during promotion from manager to sr.manager only ~5% is given. Is this true?
Manager to senior manager can be between 18-24 months depending on the performance and hike is around 8-10% and that is separate from the yearly salary hikes that happens in March ( 5-15%)
You should reject it once, then it goes back to your future manager and director who can negotiate for better.
My future Manager(VP @Amex) only told me that they cannot go any further.
OP, I need a referral at Barclays. Can you help?
I worked at Amex, try to make the base ~ 33 LPA
Tried, the HR said it's a take it or leave it offer. I don't know why but Amed HRs are too proud about their culture. They are saying you should see the culture and not the money part.
Oh, if you have already tried, then there is nothing you can much. Anyways, culture wise it’s a good company. Given that you don’t like your current organisation, you should take it.
