Does the link still work? I only have 2DM left so I need to use wisely lol
The 150k offer via referral is sporadic and random. I was able to get it in Dec on the 7th (lucky 7) referral link
This one worked for a friend in Nov. https://monkeymiles.boardingarea.com/american-express-platinum-referral/

OP, can I ask why u choose PLatinum? I’m torn between Venture X, CSR and platinum. Venture X seems easiest for me to finish the credits, CSR has Hyatt but I can’t finish all the credits, platinum is good but I’m not sure if I’ll use the hotel credits. Can we use the hotel/travel credit to make reservation for family/friends?
I have all 3 not csr but csp. Csr isn’t value for money. Venture X is effectively free .Give 2x on regular purchases so i use it. CSP gives same partners as CSR. Dinning 3x $50 hotel credit in $45 i get doordash and instacart credit for $60 so its fair enough Amex is slightly tricky. $695 i get $150 off for corporate card $200 for uber $200 for airlines $200 for fhr i treat it as $100 Saks $100 treat it as $70 Entertainment credit extra perks Walmart+ $49 Yes u can use cc to make booking for friends and family
Agree with Deloitte. I have the Platinum, Venture X, CSP ( not CSR). Wife has the Platinum and the Amex Hilton Aspire and having a player two makes it more advantageous to play the credit card game. Especially since we are avid travelers and enjoy luxurious vacations. A combination of these cards used strategically helps us come out way ahead of the annual fees. I judge a credit card by whether I can come out ahead of the AF. If not, it’s a reject. Hence CSR is a no for me. CSP would still allow you to transfer points to Hyatt. The $60 Instacart credit and $50 hotel credit are easy to use and put you ahead of the $95 AF. Venture X is a great starter travel card since after the $300 travel credit and 10k points annual grant , CapitalOne is essentially paying you $5 to keep the card ($395 AF - $400 direct benefit). Plus I like that you can have up to 4 additional members and each of them can have their own priority pass for lounge access. All for free. This perk is unheard of with high AF travel cards. Their travel portal is backed by Hopper and they price match, which is nice. Intro bonus at 75k points could be better and the transfer partner network is not as strong as Chase and Amex. A great card nevertheless. Platinum is the boss level card, but highly subjective to your lifestyle. I am easily able to use the uber, entertainment, airline and FHR credits (total $840 value) and beat the AF already. YMMV. The rest is cherry on top (and plenty of it). You get Gold status with Marriott and Hilton. Priority pass and centurion lounge access. Walmart+ membership. $100 Saks credit. Also they come up with credits on a ton of partner vendors which easily saves me $250 annually at a minimum. Best card if you are an enthusiastic traveler and enjoy luxurious stays during vacations.
