Benefits I got so far.. $1000 Joining credit after using it for $6k in 3 months $200 back in Uber ride/eats in one back. $160 in flights/luggage at cheap frontier flight (can use another $40) Free Disney bundle ( Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu) Free Audible (Both part of $240 Entertainment Credit) Free Walmart+ ( free shipping on anything online at Walmart , even priced at few dollars/cents) Concierge Use at both flights for family. fee credit for Clear.. smooth security check in since then Looking forward to cell phone protection to replace stolen/damaged phone valued upto $800 if it occurs ! Edit: Happy to refer if anyone needs it. I will get some points and you will get $1000 for $6k spent in 3 months. Also you will 10x points for all restaurants spending along with lot of other benefits above and more.
Break even will be broken if I needed phone credit for $800 ;) . It’s peace of mind as I put no efforts to use those benefits so far.. no cash back calendar to track ;) Also lounge access was great benefit for me and wife .. twice last year.
Delta sky lounge annual fee is .. $695 ? Already the card basically paid for itself + 200 uber credit + clear + points you can spend on Amazon = profit
I spent $700 AF for a big stack of coupon book?
If you go to Equinox, you can get $300 in return per year
How
The extra perks seem more fun than the Csr
I had the platinum. The gold, in my opinion is rewarding more with 3X on ALL purchases. Not just travel/restaurants.
Your annual fee is $700. -200 Uber -160 flight / luggage -240 entertainment -100 for Walmart+ = 700. So you basically break even on the card and earn a welcome bonus of $1k. Clear comes with plenty of cards these days. However, you’re earning 1% on spend, whereas you can be getting 2%+ except for travel. Meh.
Plat is killer for flights (5x points, points generally worth >1cpp). FHR and 5x on hotels occasionally good too. You can get retention bonuses every year. To me, lounge access is the real perk. Roughly break even on the AF but I'd consider paying $700/yr just for the lounge network.
Yeah, and you now _must_ use all these services to break even. What if I never needed them in the first place.
