I've encountered some concerning aspects in this domain recently. There seems to be a prevalent toxic culture where managers are never satisfied with the level of effort put in. The overall struggle seems futile, especially considering the lackluster hikes. Siemens, once known for its perks, now offers minimal benefits, with yearly gifts being a far cry from what they used to be. The toxicity primarily stems from the intense working hours and unhealthy work-life balance. I've observed a colleague who consistently puts in long hours, only to later discover that her project was put into maintenance mode, leaving the team in disarray. Despite being recently promoted, she seems overwhelmed and imposes strict office attendance even in a hybrid setup. Rumors suggest she rarely contributes to design tasks, instead relying on team members to fill the gap. This experience has made me appreciate my own team's dynamics and prompted me to share this feedback anonymously. It serves as a reminder that while one may face challenges in their current role, there are always worse situations elsewhere. Let's focus on personal growth and steer clear of toxic environments and individuals.
