Just got this offer but it doesn’t look alluring to me. Asking a tech lead candidate to move across the US for a three month contract? Gonna help me find a three month lease in one of the US’s most expensive regions ? Client : HCL/T-Mobile Rate : $75/hr. on c2C $150k salary +benefits 3 mon
Because they. Can’t find anyone in the Seattle area for that comp.
Ya. I’ve lived in seattle before so I’m not biting at that comp either
No wonder, it's HCL and you can't get more than that.
Shit is the android market that bad currently in the us. Id just wait til next year.
It's these consulting companies that are paying shit for users. Wait till you hear fron reddyteddy consultancy that has sub contracted from hcl and willing to pay no more than $55 for the same position. Source: 2 such Consultancies reached out to me for same position. If I remember it right, hcl has the subcontract from Deloitte who has the contract from T-Mobile. I wonder why does T-Mobile hire contractors with such high pay and end up getting shit engineers working at $55-$45 and hour? They are ending up hurting the product quality. Might as well hire a decent engineer with the same pay. I don't understand these consulting contacts and politics.
Thanks so much for sharing

Huh? I haven’t even taken a single interview assessment since job searching. These are just recruiters telling me salaries they have with clients and them being too low for me to even proceed in signing a right to represent with their firm
