I am hearing Netflix might do another batch of 300 layoffs next month - after July 4th long weekend? Is this true? @netflix
If you get let go from Netflix then CrowdStrike is hiring! Great WLB, great people that are very nice, product that makes a difference in the world. Good pay, remote first culture. DM me for more info and a referral.
What is the typical band for SDET with 10 yrs experience? Asking for a NFLX friend.
I'm not sure. I'd say apply and ask the recruiter
Probably, once stranger things part 4 comes in on Friday many people including me plan to get rid of Netflix
That's what they get for canceling all the good shows
Who the fuck is “they”? The ic workers who got fired but have no say over what content gets out on or off the platform? Let’s not be a total fucking potato. You’re cheering for people losing their livelihoods while the people that made the decisions sit on their 2M+ salaries.
Is it weird that I’m hungry now?
😂
😂😂😂 You seem to be living under a rock at Netflix
Where did you hear it from? It is easy to start a rumor, but only trolls do it without any concrete basis
Heard from someone who moved from G to Netflix and now coming back to G but we can't offer him anything and the person wanting to come back is desperate to move back due to H1b visa issues.
Oh interesting! Thanks for replying! We have heard nothing about a third wave of layoffs, maybe this person mentioned this to force your hand a bit?
I’m not confirming nor denying but why would a company layoff 300 people just to do it again couple weeks later? Doesn’t make any sense. Better to cut 600 all together right?
By that logic they should have cut 450 people three weeks ago. Why to cut 150 three weeks ago then 300 last week?
Corporations cut workforce in batches for a reason. They cut, evaluate sentiment then cut again and keep on chopping. These greedy execs should be fired first and the board should take things over. But the board is equally corrupted.
This is b*t
Haters gotta hate. Aren’t we all used to it?
Just guessing as I have no insider scoop - I think teams handling the processing are overwhelmed so doing it in batches is an operational piece. I suspect monthly cuts until all orgs have experienced it.

How is CrowdStrike? Would you say being in the cybersecurity company is more stable given the economic downturn?
It's okay, wish I got paid more. We are hiring a lot, and my CEO views recession as an opportunity. Cybersecurity is booming right now regardless of economy, i think crowdstrike has been lucky to be in the right place at the right time the last few years.
