Yep. They laid off 70 folks from Segment yesterday

In terms of numbers it’s not that much, but the org that was hit, was hit very hard. It cut the engineering teams by half. They removed great people, I personally know 2 people who were promoted last cycle, were laid off, and one person who was put for promo this cycle has also been impacted. Some very bad decisions by the leadership over the year has cost some amazing people their jobs :(
70 folks were impacted. And most were ICs, few EMs, few QAs.
how was severance? 6mo? 3?
I heard it was our standard package. 2 months on notice pay + 3 months of severance (plus a week for every year of employment) + our May RSU vest
