Ukranians are collateral damage. Russia was always the target. By destroying Nordstream pipelines, US has eliminated whatever negotiating leverage Russia had with Europe to thwart Ukraine's entry into NATO. This also makes sure Europe completely becomes a US vassal state. This is also an act of War by US against Russia and Europe. Europeans are too pusliminamous to reprimand US or sanction US on this. Russians are officially going to accuse US soon at UN of sabotage. Ironically, this also means the west is united under US like never before. This also increases prospects of nuclear war as Russia is pushed into a corner. Russia is going to have hard time in coming months. This also means the BRICS have to see to it that these neo-imperialist western hegemons led by US are kept under check and any prospect of Nuclear war is prevented by making sure Russia is not totally isolated. For now Russian armed forces are on backfoot after defeat at the hands of 1M Ukrainian reservists at Lyman and are preoccupied to defend the pro-Russian regions it liberated and annexed recently after referendum. Soon the 300K Russian reservists will join the 200K depleted Russian soldiers. So this war is only going to escalate further. At peak this war might see 1-2M Soldiers fighting. Worst, we might see a Nuclear strike on European soil. It's going to be brutal Winter 2022, Spring/Summer 2023 in Europe.

lol even if there was any truth to this, which there isn’t, what’s Russia gonna do about it? Putin depleted his military, Russians are fleeing to avoid getting drafted, and we’re seeing more civil unrest in Russia than at any point since they started the war. Your buddy Putin is losing the war. Despite all his nuclear threats, he knows launching one would be suicide, and would not create any advantage in his war. So bottom line is that Putin is driving Russia into the ground. The West will happily support Ukraine to make this happen. The after effects will be even worse than the collapse of the Soviet Union. Putin is just playing the game that US led west started when they orchestrated bloody coup in 2014 in Ukraine. On ground, for now Russians have occupied and annexed 15-20% of Ukraine. All they are going to do is to reinforce their defence using reservists. The war is going to be protracted and while Russians may lose some of the territory they occupied, they would largely be able repel Western backed Ukrainians. And I hope you would be right that Russians wont come to a stage where they use nukes. However the way war is progressing, the chances of this happening are getting lower. The Russians will face the same issue as US faced during WW2 against Japan: a long, costly war which requires destroying 1M+ Ukrainian Army + reserves. Russia simply doesn't have resources to do such a thing. And Russians can't afford to lose war in their borders. So it would make sense to end the war quickly. Also, if the EU soil in Ukraine does see a nuclear strike from Russia, I can guarantee you EU would not respond. Americans may respond but then they have to be prepared for MAD.

It was apparently obvious from conspicuous silence of US and Western media (which usually makes lot of noise when it wants to accuse Kremlin, nit in this case though) after sabotage of pipeline. Blinken has reinforced what that Ex Polish Defense minister earlier admitted with his tweet thanking US for bombing the pipeline. And I would tell you what, sleepy Joe would do another gaffe in few weeks and due to his mental decline would squarely admit how US sabotaged Nordstream pipeline 🤣
