No please enlighten me. You're not in a bar where everyone's expecting to be hit on. And drunk. Some people are introverts. Would you start flirting in an Uber? In front of the driver? Make rest of the ride awkward if you get rejected? Some people are friendly, doesn't mean they're interested.

OMG... I didn't mean while ride matching. It could be while/after the ride. If both parties express interest, then connect them. As simple as that. It's a bad idea to implicitly endorse hitting on people in Ubers by making an official feature for it.
