Happy to do android interviews, and maybe some leetcode style interviews with the understanding that they’re not my forte. (I can do most LC easy and some medium but it is not always the optimal solution for example) I’m a senior android engineer working at a health tech company with about 7 years experience. I act as a team lead currently and am reliable. I am looking for around (ballpark) 250k TC. I am located in the Bay Area. Flexible about going into an office or not. I don’t mind going in 2-3 times a week. I wouldn’t discount a 5 day a week gig though. I have experience with wearables/IOT/Bluetooth, general android (Kotlin and Java). I’ve worked at smaller series A and B startups, and medium size (but household name) companies in the past. I eventually want to go into sw management, but am still happy to learn and grow as an IC for the time-being. I won’t work for a company if I don’t believe in the product or vision. So If hired you wouldn’t need to worry about my commitment. I am currently looking around due to the toxic work culture that has been festering at my company for some time now. To shed some light, yelling matches between my peers and our managers are almost expected and normal now. Working weekends is expected, and those who do not are publicly shamed in team meetings. Just to give an idea of the current culture. Open to startups. I am typically a top performer on my team wherever I have worked. Granted I have not worked at a faang, but I have worked at a company acquired by a faang. I can work cross functionally, mostly between backend and android, but I am definitely much more comfortable in the mobile space. My backend experience is mostly on personal projects and a little at a startup I was at. Current TC 200k after stock devaluation. Before it was closer to about 230.

Check Flock Safety. A fully remote series E YC startup. They do ask technical questions but not necessarily leetcode. I was interviewing there for Android Framework Engineer and ask me technical questions related to that field only. Loved the people I talked with but ended up joining other company because at that time they were at series C stage and I was bit skeptical if I should join them or not. But since then I have been following them and they turn out to be doing good.
gojek interviews has good mix of knowledge and leetcode style problems.
I'm late, but Square offers a take home project or the leetcode route.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
What’s your current TC? Seems like you aren’t gonna be able to cut 250k TC based on what you are describing. Generally, if someone says they are “android” or “iOS” or “.net” or another bullshit developer i immediately categorize them at mediocre as best. I great engineer who pulls 250k+ (btw 250k in Bay is something 0-2 of experience engineers pull at the top level) has the greatest skill of learning new, very commonly internal tech stack and is able to contribute fluently to ANY project within 3-6 months. That’s the reason why we ask LC questions because there is not that many overlap of the work/tech stack used across big tech companies. TC or GTFO
I am not able to understand the problem with someone being an expert in one field i.e. mobile in case of op. Why does everybody have to be 'Jack of all trades' whereas he/she can be master of one and propel.
Some (not all) of the best developers that I have worked with are only comfortable/interested in only one field as that excites them the most.
