You would think after job hopping dev setup during onboarding would get easier but man. Each company has its own annoyances. Any company that really has truly compete setup where the machine read to code on out of the box? Edit: seamless*
Some places do dev in the cloud (you SSH or VNC into a preconfigured box instead of running stuff locally) so you can get started on day one
Can you provide some more details? Like which companies and is there any literature regarding this?
That can be sluggish, no?
DoorDash onboarding was super nice! After a day of installing the required software I was code-ready, followed by some bootcamp
Block's is pretty seamless, compare to most places I've worked at.
