Final round of interview - highly expecting an offer from okta if nothing goes wrong, any insights on the offer/TC for staff eng? TC 400 most paper money Yoe 10 update Jul 12: upgraded my offer to principle but still can’t meet my TC expectation so rejected. Joined another unicorn
How was your interview?
It was okay. Not a hard interview
Any insight the range joining right now?
I didn’t see a single dp above 300k yet on blind lol
Also refreshers are pretty good here. Keep that in mind
How much could that be?
That isn’t true anymore. The trend that starting this year is to go to more cash instead of RSUs for compensation. Traditional they have been good because of the stock appreciation. The last 4 years the stock has 10x’d. The next 4 years, I highly doubt that will happen again.
Plz let us know your offer once you get it :)
low around 250k gonna reject it
Wow that is low. Is that after negotiations?
Okta Staff 250-300TC
Original offer is like 280k TC. Staff folks joined 1.5-3 years ago easily hit 400k tc due to appreciation and stacked refreshers. Also Okta is very generous on espp. The value of espp at vesting time literally doubled in the past few years, that’s like additional 20k-40k TC.
Do ESPP need to vest?
Update: they made it to principal but I still rejected it. Reason is I got offers waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than okta one
Can you share the principal offer?
It’s similar pay as F/G 5 level found on fyi
@OP you mind sharing difficulty level of the questions asked during the interview. Just trying to get a sense of how to prepare myself. Thx!
Sorry. Barely remember maybe medium level difficulty most behavioral questions
No worries! Thanks so much!
Okta is a rocket ship
Any insight on that? Their stock seems inflated right now ~280 bump up a lot during pandemic
It will continue to go up
