Are there any jobs or referrals for Sr/staff MySQL DBA’s out there? The vast majority of job postings I see currently open (within my salary range) are for MSSQL or Oracle, which I take to mean that the main companies still hiring are the big institutions and the public sector. I should clarify that I can most likely easily find a job if I'm willing to take a 35-50% pay cut.. TC: 250k

Wow. We still have MYSQL?! how does you company scale?
Does that mean it's time to jump ship for some other platform? Genuinely want to know! I jumped from MSSQL to MySQL 10+ years ago because that was how the jobs were skewing.. Nowadays it seems less like companies want DBAs, and more just engineers for automating database deployments and stuff... Some companies are unable to scale like the big companies because everyone wants to work at the big companies and not at the smaller ones... So there ends up being tons of tech debt and trying to make incremental progress... So if it isn't MySQL, what should I be looking into?
