Bloomberg is known to be layoff-proof but rewards are diminishing and work is unfulfilling. Any stable tech company that pays 300k for 4 yoe ? yoe: 240k
Stable as in no layoff? Not possible
Hi
To be lay-off safe you need to be a private company, that is mature, profitable, has a moat, and has leadership that cares about people as individuals. It won’t get better than Bloomberg. $240k is not bad for 4yoe. If you want FAANG level comp you have to deal with FAANG level grind.

No. They will layoff to boost their own stock value. Companies hit their BHAG and still layoff. Nowhere is safe.

Can we switch
What about bloomberg, when they will start hiring
Never stopped hiring, just way less open roles and more of a focus on internal and graduate recruitment.
I am interested in a senior software engineer role in london or pune, but I'm not getting any chance. I am really interested, man
Na dude I think bbg is it for safety 😂 I’ll bounce when 2 sigma takes 🤲🏻 🙏🏻 (if ever)

No company is truly layoff safe. The companies laying off now have plenty of cash. They are laying off by choice, not necessity. There needs to be a CEO that is anti-layoff, and cannot be ousted by a board. Activist investors looking to increase margins can add pressure and force a company to do things they would not have otherwise.
