I saw a lot of ppl complaining about Nest WiFi restarting by itself online, and I also have the same issue, seems like customer service can’t help me and just want to replace the router. There is no option to push a firmware update or downgrade the firmware to see if the problem can be solved. Wtf is going on Nest?
Btw did u try contacting their costumer service?
Yep, we went thru diagnosis, and after a few minutes he said I need to replace my router… didn’t even try using another firmware or anything like that
Wait. It is Nest WiFi’s issue? I always thought it was Comcast‘s fault
Nest uptime on router status starts over, Comcast stay stable
How do you get the diagnosis?
Curious how do you know it is Nest’s problem but not gateway/internet providers problem?
I have two wifi networks for some reason, the other one works fine
I think I need to A/B test my home network then…
In my case, I don’t see Wifi disconnect. Only no internet for ~1min before it goes back online
Yep, same thing.. Did this happen to you recently? For me, only started a month back or so
Yeah, sometimes I have the same, WiFi still works but no internet for about 1 minute, then everything goes back to normal. And sometimes everything restarts, nest point (repeater) goes pulsing yellow
I am using Google Wifi and it is stable, love it
What ISP?
Comcast,Bay Area
Firmware engineers are so underpaid so we don't fix bugs. We reboot the system to avoid certain code.
You can't have a blind post without someone talking about how less they are paid
Stable for me
I had the same problem, its a hardware issue. They replaced for free. i know it's a hardware issue as i used to keep it on one of those coleman blue ice bricks that's at -16C and it worked fine when it was cold. If you really need to use it, keep it inside a refrigerator and it works but you will not get WiFi
😂
Yep exact same thing. It disconnects/reconnects multiple times a day. Happening since the last month?
I just bought it, and is driving me crazy… they don’t even give us the option to try different firmware version to see if we can fix the problem…
