How's the place to work? Do they still have regular layoffs? How's the culture. I went to Glassdoor but it's the perspective of the fringe so I'd rather take the bad news from fellow blinders. Tc 155k Rural Massachusetts
Stay away! Our group just got affected in the last round of lay-off no consideration for employees and with dell sprawling over old emc business they r putting ther leaders in the top spots and lot of politics
Yup
My experience is very different from other commenters. I’m a 10yr veteran (from EMC side), my TC is well over 155k, and the culture is upbeat and optimistic, despite a poor return to public stock. I think a lot depends on which business unit/product you’re in.
Thanks for the response. Can I PM you?
I'm in the same situation as you, must be a BU thing, but I know plenty in other BUs that feel the same way I do
All good on the west coast, but we seem to be hiring well in Hopkinton for scale out as well. I'm optimistic.
Depends on which BU you are in. My team has not had a single layoff in past 5 years, just been adding more people. TC is well over 155k for me personally at i9 level
Would you mind sharing the salary range for I9, how years of experience you have, degree? Thank you!
140k base + 15% bonus + LTI 20k/yr So TC comes out to be around $180k YOE 5 Engineering undergrad + MBA

Yup. We had a huge purge last summer, so we're due for another. I'd avoid coming here if possible. Almost no one makes 155k here, even on the coasts. Especially with the poor decision to go public again, we'll be back to quarterly layoffs to satisfy the ADD motives of investors.
You mean 155k is low or high?
High. Dell pays well under market.
