Anyone Experience building startup and switching back to job
I was Ex-MSFT , i have founded a software consulting firm and because of god grace i was able to get good clients and annual revenue reached to 1 Million USD. I have not raised any funding neither i need to. I am planning to go back to job and get higher level based on previous startup experience probably l6 at amazon or l7. I am 9yoe. My question is does companies values startup experience if you have successfully delivered project to client and have 10 developers in your team , which generated million usd as revenue? How do they validate experience of having a startup with their expectations can i negotiate based on revenue or salary drawn by me? Having own startup is valued in india or its considered gap?
Companies will value relevant experience example - did u get adoption for new products that you built? Were your products successful? Can u elaborate what consulting did your firm do?
We provided consulting to top video streaming provider similar to hostar for video streaming services , and thier product was already is already in production. What kind of documents they need to prove i work because client can only give testimony, Is testimony enough?
Story looks good but you also need to be able to talk big - strategy/growth/prospects & dive deep on issues/disagreements/ scale etc
The best way is to apply and talk to employers. Also, 1 MM is not a big revenue and why are you not trying to market, sell better to increase revenues ?
Yep i agree I Million USD is not enough for indian based company, We are trying but market is ascertain hence i would like to see what kind of negotiations power i do have showing 200k USD as salary in india
Depends on why you want to get back to job
probably recession as it fucked up revenue
This reason cannot be used for bargaining salary and without competing offers you will be treated just like any other person based on interviews performance.
