Interested in coming in as a software product manager. Not sure if the interview process or compensation is google like because it falls under alphabet, or if it is entirely different
Verily is a place where every product manager can run their own little pet project with hardly any engineers. If you can manage up very well, don't mind having meaningless "impact" while claiming that your product is going to save an amazing number of lives one day (which will most likely never come), then sure go ahead. You might actually love the place. Edit: Regarding your question about compensation, don't expect it to be as good as Google.
Do you think it would be easier to transition into Google later if I got into Verily since it’s an alphabet company?
No. You will need to interview again just like another external candidate. But at the same time Google will screw you on the offer. I know people who only got 1/3rd of the stock grant compared to an external hire.
I got offer from both verily and Google. Verily was offering 50k less than Google even though verily offer was for L5 while Google was L4
Stay far far away from Veranos.
How’s interview I have an onsite for SWE coming

The man I love hates me because I’m Vietnamese
It’s a shit show, but has lots of PMs because they have strong high level influence despite providing little value.
Why is it a shit show?
