Have you heard anyone getting fired/PIPed from FB within one year purely on the basis of performance? Whats the quickest firing that you have heard in facebook due to perf reason? 3/6/9 months??
E7 in 4 months. Could not adapt to FB tech
Is FB tech hard to understand?
did he cry your username on his way out? (in all seriousness though, feel bad for the guy cos that’s rough)
But it's not common to be fired from bootcamp either
What they do in boot camp?
Meet different teams, figure out which one you want to join.
I've seen an E6 put into PIP after the first half, and they left a month later.
Ouch. I thought joining as a 5 was tough, but 6/7 must be really tricky
People have been fired for thinking they could look at private data without being caught.
Thats policy related
Oops missed that part of your question
Yes. I know of one after a month
Performance related? Story?
Im suprised by how Amazon is notoriously known for pip, but the public talks little or none about pips in Facebook, which happens even more often than Amazon
From what I've heard, FB PIPs are more passable.
They also happen less percentage wise. You heard wrong msft. We have one of the lowest rates for PIPs so idk where you're getting your info from.
I read it on WP
Someone on my team got fired after about 8 months. She took too long to turn work around and seemed confused, didn’t do due diligence enough as I understand it.
Someone was fire after bootcamp
Story?
Seconded - story?
