Anyone from J.P. Morgan Chase?

Graduating this semester and interviewing for their TAP program. I've heard mixed reviews from people who didn't make it through TAP, but I'd like to get opinions from the larger JPM Chase community. Anyone out there do TAP or just currently work there?

Different managers are like different books. Some are really good, some are meh, and some are completely incompetent and somehow manage to fail upwards(mine)

I've had colleagues come through the TAP program and do well. You just need to know to bust your ass and make a good name for yourself. The more people like you, the easier it will be to get a good position after it's over.

There currently and joined through TAP. In 5 years I’ve had several promotions and have almost doubled my comp. Most don’t move up that quickly, but it’s a decent program. Comp considerably lower than tech firms, no RSUs, but I like the company.

Totally depends on your team. I like where the firm is heading diversity, engineering, work life balance wise. TAP is actually Software Engineering now and have plenty of events for you to get involved. First few months are full of happy hours, yacht parties onsite/off-site the offices. The pay isn't necessarily the best. It's about 90K with bonuses. So you might feel underpaid depending on your other offers and how talented your peers will be. You have to know your networks, make names and you can do that working no more than 8 hours. The only worst part is, it's full of politics. If your MD/ED's aren't exceptional and don't have connections with their higher ups, it's likely they'll drag you down.

Pay is no longer true. They raised it significantly.

What did they raise the pay to?
