Was told by the recruiter that base was fixed. The only other number in the offer letter was RSUs. Everything else (vacation days, benefits) appear to be corporate standard. What other levers are left to be able to negotiate? #genentech #health #biotech #offers
Position and YOE?
Senior manager in a business function, 10 YOE
What’s approx base and bonus and annual RSUs there for Director level, 15 YOE?
What is a good scientist salary for Genentech, I’m trying to negotiate an offer and want to get some advices here. I have 7 years of experience post PhD
Are you Clinical or Lab Scientist? It’s higher for Clinical roles. E g in Oncology late phases you should expect 180-190 base in Clinical Scientist with 5+ YOE.

I was able to budge my base up 5k. Also had a bonus but that was in the initial offer. Yearly bonus is a % of your salary typically, maybe that % can be negotiated?
Did you get a signing bonus?
Yeah that's what I meant, got a sign on bonus and a yearly % bonus. I wrote a counter offer letter and asked for an extra 20k and the 5k is what they came back with.
