After a few years in this business, I have to admit that although I love programming, I want to stay as far away from business side as possible, as long as I can still code. Yes I know it's the business side that feds us and gives me the job. I know staying too far from business will endanger employment. But man I'm burnt out about translating business stuffs, fighting the deadline while new requirements keep coming in in the middle of a sprint, and all sorts of these things. I'm actually good at it, but I hate it. I love developing for developers. I love coding tools to improve developer experience. I have fun teaching myself fundamentals such as compilers and OS. I admit I'm not actually mature enough to work on low level stuffs professionally but I'm working towards it. I'm not learning as quickly as I wish so this also bothers me. This is more of a rant to myself. Anyone thinking about the same? Did you make the move to, say, low level programming or framework programming or whatever that is more technical? I'd love to hear your stories. TC: in Canada so peanuts. 120K CAD.
