So this a random question Are there people who are currently working in US but will like to live back in their own country (specifically asking for India). What's your plan, how many years are you planning to stay there or what will be the point when you decide that you want to go back.
Go for it!
Have been considering that from some time, family life is better back home. I stopped thinking about the GC race now, just gonna enjoy here for couple of years and head home.
No but considering Latin America. Working on Spanish and trying out some places
I moved to the US a year ago and now I am asking myself why didn’t learn spanish before.
It's not hard, start on Duolingo then after you get some lessons under you belt progress to movies or children books.
Not being on GC really sucks, you never know when you're going to be kicked out of the country and can't make plans without having a good risk management strategy. Things change completely when you get your permanent status. I moved from a less crowded place and my GC came out pretty fast. In the first years I missed my family and being here all by ourselves was hard. But as we grew a network of friends and started to have as many rights as a citizen, things got less stressful. Now I have no plans to go back, especially because my kids are growing up as Americans (my son even wants to serve in the Air Force). They have no identity with my home country other than curiosity. Our parents are aging out and I regret not being close to support them. On the other hand, I am a parent and I have more responsibility towards my kids than towards my parents. I want to raise my kids so that they can fly by themselves, and I want to grow old independently as well, so that I don't slow their lives.
I do, I will go back to home country I came to US to study, but family is back home. Issue is I met wife here, I work here and keeping life style and current income back home is not realistic unless I start a company otherwise will be just an idea...
No way. I have GC though and it isn't India.
Living in US from last 8 yrs , moving back in feb 2020 for good not sure if I will come back to US anytime later as of now .
All the best! I lived here for 2 years studying, planning to go back in 2 years.
all the best. I recently joined c1. would you mind sharing how much you were able to save in your 8 yrs in US?
If you're a non-white or non-black male you're much better off going back home then living as a second class citizen in the US.
Lol This is stereotyping at its best. 😂
Thats probably because Indians have stronger family and social ties back home. I know many folks from other countries coming here and never visiting their home country again.
