Hi All , I’m looking to move to a 1 bed apartment ( traditional 1 bed , not open 1 bed or studios) , at least 450-500 sq. feet , with good amenities and safety in neighborhoods I currently live near UW . Not sure how safe this is . But Something that is relatively safe at same level or better is something I’m looking at . My budget is 1.8k to 2k (stretch upper limit ) Can’t move to Bellevue or Redmond because of the commute and don’t own a car. Given Stripe’s office is in downtown, I’m looking at apartments near the office : first hill (landes , harbor steps etc.) so that I can literally walk to work . Any insights on apartments / areas where I can find awesome apartments ( views would be awesome too:) ) within budget and a reasonable commute and safety would be really helpful. Thank you so much :) TC: 320k #stripe #Amazon #facebook #seattle #housing #rental #downtown #shortcommute #safety #apartmentlist #housing
I found harbor steps to be a little run down, check out Viktoria or Helios. There are a few nice luxury buildings on 2nd ave in your price range for a studio
Thank you for your insights, Same feeling about harbor steps. Will check viktoria / Helios . Though I’m avoiding studios / open 1 bed as the don’t work out for me :). However , will still keep looking
Liked Amli Arc
Awesome , thank you for the pointers will check it out
Explore other options Seattle is unsafe you’ll get more space with decent rent 2k in areas like Bellevue Redmond etc…
Thank you for your insights:) , considered Bellevue and Redmond, but dropping out because of commute and I don’t own a car too
Also Bellevue and Redmond is where you go if your only social life is to visit other families
