My friend had interviews with Apple recently and haven't heard back even after messaging/calling HR. Are all HRs generally like that? Why do they feel like they (not generalizing to the whole HR community) are doing us a service by calling them? The company needs us as much as we need company. Otherwise that position won't be open. If we have spent our time preparing foe interviews doing our research about company and technical stuff required for the role, isn't it a basic courtesy to share even an template email saying you are not selected. Sorry for the rant. Accenture India 25lakh INR (8 y.o.e)
I am surprised that you have no idea on how HR works even after spending 8 years in the industry! Wait for 3 weeks at the max to hear back. Else move on.
Already moved on. This was for a friend by the by. I have worked in companies where we give rejection mails (at least when the candidate asks for it). It's a basic courtesy. In this particular case, the interviewer asked to contact the HR after 2 days. Followed the same advice though mail and call. Still not received any intimation. I have even got rejection mails while sharing a resume. Regarding 3 weeks, thanks. Will convey this to my friend.
