AI/ML field: Apple ICT3: 95k GBP base 25k GBP sign on 8k GBP relocation 148k USD RSU Hybrid RTO Startup: 150k gbp base Paper stock options at 300k USD Fully remote anywhere in London Work seems promising Startup Recruiter said this is Google L5/Apple ICT4 equivalent Apple recruiter said they value stock options of startup as $0 as its pre-IPO. So they matched the startup base but they down leveled me to ICT3 instead of ICT4 that the startup provides. Current TC- $108k (AMD Bangalore, stock appreciation) Yoe-6 + relevant masters in US Any folks from Apple who can provide input would be much appreciated ! #apple #lowball #negotiation #offer #offers

Which startup? AI Startups today are a dime a dozen and you never know if they will be around after 2y, I'm currently at one and planning to leave. If you think the company will stick around, that's a much better offer. Huge base, and you're dependent on the first year sign on to have the same comp at Apple. After the first year things might be different. Be prepared to work a lot at the Startup tho. Apple is safer, but I'd go with the Startup for now.
