Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I had an interview at Apple recently for a firmware role. I don't have an official offer yet, but HR spoke to me and said they are working on an official offer. HR asked me for a snapshot of my unvested RSU, which I did. But now I am thinking I shouldn't have, maybe they might lowball me. Is it a norm these days to request a snapshot of unvested RSU's? I have 14 years of experience, what is a good offer at Apple San Diego for my experience? And what level can I expect, ICT4 or ICT5? Current TC : $280k # Thank you! #apple #offer #rsu #sandiego #tc #firmware
I have similar experience and I got ICT4. What’s the composition of your TC at QCOM?
my current TC is $280K. What did Apple offer for ICT4? In San Diego?
I meant the breakdown of your TC: base, RSUs, bonus. They gave me 200k base, 70k RSUs, 50K signon
$180k base, $75k RSU, $25k bonus. Did you accept the offer? May I know how many years of experience you have?
70k RSU? You mean 70k * 4 = 280k initial RSU right?
I have about 14 years as well. Yes, I did accept the offer. I didn’t have any competing offers otherwise I would have negotiated better :-(
Congrats! I will update numbers when I get them.
Did you have a PhD? I wonder what they offer for PhD+5 YoE. Is ICT4 possible? What could be the expected TC in this case?
Please update us once you get the offer
Think its best practice to not give them any info about your current TC before the offer Just logically they would always want that info to get the offer as low as possible, not as high as possible. Once you get the offer you can always bring up the current to try to push it up.
True I got low balled because of that :(
Agreed, giving up any compensation details is a rookie mistake. Its like talking to the cops; it can only “incriminate” you.
How long did it take from last round until they gave you the offer? Thanks
It's been around 3 weeks since the interview, I still don't have the officially offer, HR says they are working on it. One week after the interview HR called and said the team is interested and will work on generating offer.
Hang in there OP, it took a while to get the official offer as it travels through a signature approval loop. In my case it took 3 weeks from verbal to official offer
Hey OP, care to share your final offer? Did you end up accepting?
Still don't have the official offer. HR texted me saying they might have it ready in next week.
HR said they the offer they can give me would be low balling and hiring manager didn't approve the offer HR was trying to push for because of budget reasons. So they didn't give me an offer 😒
That’s interesting for HR to say that. Is there no offer after all? Or is there still hope?
No offer at all. HR said the hiring manager was only willing to hire at junior level, with less than my current pay and HR was pushing for an offer around $215 base pay and they decided not to extend the offer. So no hope anymore at least for that team 😒
Snapshot of unvested RSUs ... What all do these guys ask 🙄
