I got a offer from apple and I am seriously considering it. What's the review cycle in apple like? Is there a concept of PIP? Has apple ever had a layoff? YOE: 8 Years TC: 450K (Most of it non liquid stocks) New TC: 530K
If your tc is mostly non liquid stocks it isn’t compensation. Reviews are annual, basically no layoffs/pips but you can get crap refreshers if you don’t perform
Source: also had a high non-liquid TC that is still non liquid 4 years after
Yes. I was told by my recruiter (of my current company) that there would be liquidation events every 6 months. But no such thing even after two years 🤪
What level is the role?
Take it. You have a higher chance of being safe from layoffs next year.
Yes Apple lays off- hahaha
Yoe? Role?
OP what level/role and location? How long did it take for you to get the offer after last round?
I declined Apple because RTO and benefits weren’t good and got a better off let elsewhere.
Can you say more about the benefits? Which benefits were lacking? RTO is not an issue for me since I live very close to their office
Medical is somewhat expensive. Poor 401k match. Ask your recruiter, they’ll literally give you this info.
Go for it you are getting someone’s salary for a year more
