Do you feel big and mighty posting your big TC while making a mockery of those that just lost their jobs? Do you feel so tall? Are you looking in the mirror and telling urself ur better than Apple employees ? Grow up

1. My Tc isn't big tc ... If you think so you need to leetcode and switch from whatever the hell sunnova energy is 2. Apple employees aren't gods and I'm not comparing myself to them ... You are ... I have worked in FAANG before ... I've gone to top tier schools. I don't suffer from inferiority/superiority complex 3. It's blind rule to post your TC on posts ... Guess you're new to blind too ... But maybe know your facts before attacking others ? 4. I've seen my friends lose jobs and I know the toll that takes on a person ... So whatever it is that has gotten you in a bad mood ... Don't project it on me and take out your frustration on me ...

$270k is ~3.5x the annual household income in the US. Sure you don’t suffer from inferiority or superiority complex but lookup narcism. This post is very self serving and inward facing, and honestly seems like someone who’s never taken a business or accounting course. Every business is going to fail at some point and making a poll asking when a company is going to fail is stupid bc that’s the only default option companies have I’m not new to blind. I’m unemployed and have no TC right now bc I decided to work at a startup and take a risk. Part of the game, and I hope I never end up like you posting shit like this with an obnoxiously high compensation package yet so naive on basic respect

They only laid off the Apple EV division, they already announced this was coming in February. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/27/technology/apple-ends-electric-car-plan.html

Apparently they're trying to buy BMW now ... I read this somewhere

Apple spinnout Apr 5

Pretty sure that was an April fools joke @amd

700. From a failed car project and micro LED research. Apple has over 161k employees. Google laid off 12k. Meta laid off 12k. This isn’t even a headliner.

It is not in terms of just numbers but it breaks Apple's no layoffs during the pandemic streak. . . Probably could trigger other smaller companies into panic mode ... Apple was the last holdout Also @reddit you forgot to mention Amazon laid off 2x the sum of meta and Google :(

I would say they still had 0 layoffs due to over hiring during COVID, unlike all other tech companies. Layoffs are inevitable, Apple has done them in the past, before COVID. This just isn’t in the same category as the other mass layoffs.

I sincerely hope Apple is generous with their severance package, these people don't deserve this. Anyone hear anything re. severance?

Block AxLT63 Apr 5

as opposed to everyone else that's been laid off?

The folks at Apple had a decade to come up with and launch an EV. Other companies have done it (Xiaomi) in less time. Like with any other company the EV team to come up with and produce results.

@Block that's a stupid comment, anyone who has been laid off deserves a generous package. I've been laid off twice.
