Eng should be fine though, no? Apple didn’t hire like crazy during the pandemic.
🥲
Hope Apple makes it out unscratched but we at Google got low noise layoffs prior to ours.
(In the Emperor's voice): Excellent.
Does anyone reads articles beyond click bait titles?
Having $48 billion in CASH is probably a major factor too.
Employees are not entitled to the war chest (cash)
This happens every year nothing new. Apple hires seasonal workers and they are told that they are “seasonal” . Seems like the tech industry is pissed at apple for not mismanaging and hiring like crazy like everyone else did. We have been told that there will be no firing but there is a freeze on hiring for now
Good for you guys. Idk why people are wishing layoffs on you. Layoffs hurt the industry as a whole. If everyone does it, then there's "no shame in laying off" anymore. Hopefully Apple can be the one firm to rise above this.
Did u read ? It clearly says "non-seasonal" employees were laid off
Source: trust me bro
😅
Worked out for every single layoff so far 🤷♂️
Ok but are the retail employees really considered equal to that of corporate employees ? Not to sound elitist or anything but this is not the same as the MSFT, GOOGLE, or META layoffs where engineers and others were laid off
You’re right, this is worst because these guys don’t get severance at all and gets super fucked because they prob don’t have elite leetcode skills like googlers and they make like 40k tc and get no coverage
I'm just saying OP compared these layoffs to the Microsoft layoffs when they are not at all comparable. These layoffs will not affect the tech sector one bit. They affect the retail sector ya tool.
Finally the circle is completed.
1st circle ⭕️
Not complete yet, telco, banks, IT support co have not yet started
