Are you a janitor?

No, I’m a certified retail specialist

The high TC you see on this app is usually for tech workers, like software engineers

Which state is Union Square HQ is in? If CA or WA you won'y survive with that money. Rent for one bedroom in Seattle is 1300 the lowest. And you will drive an hour to/from work.

Well as a matter of fact that is really low for a lot of places. Unless you are getting a lot of overtime.

It’s the Apple flagship HQ store in SF

OP, that’s a minimum wage job in San Francisco. That’s normal salary for Apple Genius.

Weird thing is I’m not even qualified for the genius job, this is just entry level specialist but I thought it’d be more since I’ve been to college and almost got my degree and have like 45 credits. I was expecting low 6 figures not like the high TCs posted here, I’m not greedy I just wanna get my start

Gap EsyT31s Nov 1, 2019

😂 no offense man but you’re a retail associate. This isn’t a real tech job.

Negotiate. If you have a degree you should be making at least 60/80 especially in NYC. I live in NYC and am aware of what my company pays starting employees fresh out of school

I didn’t finish my degree I have 45 credits but I took classses in statistics, sociology, PowerPoint, and keyboarding skills to name a few. Should I add excel expert to my resume, I know this is an apple position though and they don’t have excel yet

Having degree is important for first job but you can overcome it. Get some programming training on basic python and data structures and some algorithm and try few small projects so that tou wouldnt need to mention powerpoint and keyboarding as skills in you resume. I think with few months of training you can have a shot for basicsoftware eng jobs and thats when you would see a bump in salary. I am not saying this is the only way to get paid more obviously but this is the path i know and i can help you get ghere. Message me if you want to come up with a more concrete plan.

There isn’t much retail presence in this crowd, try Glassdoor

I’ve been to open door but they were trying to buy my house which I don’t know how that would work, I’m renting with my parents for now

They should at least be offering around $22/hr for entry level in SF Apple stores. Sounds fishy.
